Encore’s Activation Services offer the right combination of planning, resource and project management, EHR expertise, logistics planning and cost management to help you cross your EHR implementation finish line smoothly – to make that all-important transition from building the EHR to using it.
It All Starts with a Plan
Ideally, Encore recommends that go-live planning start early in your project. The more advance notice, the better Encore can negotiate the logistics arrangements and find the best staff to meet the needs of your facilities and specialties.
Building the Right Team
The success of every go-live depends on having both the right quality and quantity of staff. Encore has worked hard to both build and keep an at-the-elbow (ATE) team with proven go-live success. We have battle-tested processes to manage the entire go-live from our initial screening process to our final evaluations and project roll-offs.
The Small Things Add Up
In 2015 alone, Encore has managed more than $8.6 million in expenses at or under budget and delivered more than 47,000 days of ATE support. We have led some of the largest, most complex activation projects, including a go-live with more than 600 team members and a “big bang” at 3 hospitals and 82 clinics.
Our attention to detail, from monitoring each line item on an expense report to customized training designed for the various go-live roles, helps us meet your go-live needs with excellence while managing costs.
Keep Calm and Go-Live
In a project with as many moving parts as a go-live, not everything is going to go according to plan – the support needed for a particular specialty may be greater than you thought, your super users may have a family emergency arise, or a flu epidemic may delay the entire project. Encore’s go-live management team has the experience of many go-live projects and the problem-solving skills to adjust schedules and swizzle resources to make the project work. We include contingency resources in our planning. At the end of the day, when you select Encore, you’ll find a team who will do everything possible to give you the support needed to succeed.
Building Confidence, Promoting Adoption with Credentialed Training
The implementation of Epic involves training hundreds, if not thousands, of end users in a short period of time. Training end users on the software and associated workflows is essential to ensure they will be able to complete their workflows in the system, realize the benefits of the system design – and feel confident in their ability to do so.
Healthcare organizations may not have all the internal resources available for a training effort of this magnitude. Internal resources can support post-live training, but in most cases, organizations need to bring in a large number of additional training staff to provide support in the months leading up to and during system activation. These supplemental trainers are called credentialed trainers (CTs).
Managing the recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, logistics, schedules and budget for the Epic training resources requires expert planning, preparation, ongoing management and coordination.
Rely on Encore’s Credentialed Training Solution to:
- Provide great trainers
- Plan and manage all logistics, including travel and lodging
- Administer the onboarding requirements
- Ensure CTs are trained well on your specific build
- Make sure the training classrooms are ready
