PRESS RELEASE
Premier Healthcare Alliance, Encore Health Resources Partner to Help Health Systems Define HIT Requirements For Clinically Integrated Care
CHARLOTTE, N.C. and HOUSTON, TX – The Premier healthcare alliance has partnered with Encore Health Resources to help health systems define the technology requirements, priorities and resources needed as they move toward clinically integrated, coordinated care delivery.
Through their partnership, Premier and Encore will create a unique healthcare information technology (HIT) implementation road map customizable to any health system’s strategic organizational challenges. Each provider will experience comprehensive assessments and strategic analyses to improve their HIT, clinical quality measures, data interoperability and clinician engagement. As a result, they will have a personalized HIT guideline to support an integrated care delivery program.
The partnership will build on the newly enhanced Coordinated Care HIT Road Map designed by members of Premier’s PACT™ (Partnership for Care Transformation) Population Health Data Management work group. Nearly 80 health systems representing approximately 450 hospitals, 20,000 physicians, and millions of covered lives work together in PACT to improve care coordination, efficiency, quality and patient satisfaction.
Premier, a performance improvement alliance of more than 2,500 hospitals and 77,000-plus other healthcare sites, leads two nationwide collaboratives helping hospitals transition to coordinated care models that deliver increased value and improve the health status of communities. Encore Health Resources is a recognized leader in advanced information technology services for the global healthcare industry.
“We are honored to partner with the Premier alliance to help providers in their evolution from fee-for-service to value-driven care delivery models,” said Dana Sellers, president and CEO of Houston-based Encore, ranked by KLAS as one of the top two overall performers in HIT advisory services. “By leveraging our technology and industry experience, we can ensure that health systems achieve the best use of their data, transforming it into information for the most effective performance improvements for coordinated care success.”
Keith Figlioli, Premier senior vice president of Healthcare Informatics said, “This partnership will help health systems deliver seamless care that is supported by measurement and improved population health status. Our enhanced focus on value, core processes and collaboration will help providers better report quality measures and advance physician adoption of key technologies to provide an exceptional patient care experience.”
Encore’s CoreQUEST™ solution and CoreGPS™ data tool will be used to help design the road maps. These technologies leverage the power of data to help health organizations succeed in an emerging environment of information-driven, value-based care delivery models. Such models are all based on the use of electronic quality measures, or eMeasures, which qualify hospitals and providers for federal health reform incentives payments.
Also available to health systems nationwide is a new analysis which helps hospitals choose the best Medicare shared savings program for their organization. Premier released the first detailed financial report on accountable care for shared savings program options in July.
